Episode 6: ParliamentClickbait Citizen Podcast
Over three podcasts (#Democracy, #Parliament and #Transitions), I invite you to join me on a journey around Europe, through places and epochs.
In the first podcast of this short series (otherwise number 5 in the Podcast of #ClickbaitCitizen), #Democracy, we visited the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and travel north to participate in a conference about youth, democracy, and culture. Number two: #Parliament takes me to Athens to participate in an artistic experiment called “Parliament” led by US choreographer Michael Kliën and project director Vitoria Kotsalou at the Benaki Museum. Before I met Vitoria, I spent some time at the National Gallery - Alexandros Soitsos Museum looking at the painting called Greece Expressing Gratitude by Theodoros Vryzakis. You will find out why. I also visited the Epidaurus Theatre and festival to watch an extraordinary performance, The Stranger, directed by dear friend and colleague Michael Marmarinos. In Three: #Transitions, we look at the interconnections between political transitions in Greece, Portugal and Spain in the 1970s and how artists and researchers explore these epochs and their implications through both contemporary art and traditional dance. We return to the Netherlands and a conversation I had with researcher Aida Mariño Arduro from Asturias, Spain.
