Galway 2020 & EU-Japan Fest Japan Committee

At EU JapanFest's annual presenter symposium at the Italiano Istituto di Cultura in Tokyo, Chris Baldwin, from the Galway 2020 delegation, shares about the city and its upcoming year as a European Capital of Culture in 2020.

It was a wonderful week in Tokyo where a special invitation was extended to Japanese artists to interact and create art in Ireland in 2020. 

'Every European capital of culture has a responsibility to tell a story, a story that tells us something about ourselves, who we are, what we believe in, on, where we're from, but also what it means today, in the beginning of the 21st century, about being a European and obviously later a member of this world in general, but particularly about being European on DH. We invite you artist from Japan and cultural practitioners to come and help us explore those themes of landscapes, migration and language.' Chris Baldwin.
